Omega-3 Check · Privacy DEEN ← Back to start

Privacy notice

Information pursuant to Article 13 GDPR. Last updated: 3 August 2026.

1 · Controller

Stefan Tauber, Wienerstraße 60/5/9, 3002 Purkersdorf, Österreich
E-Mail: anmeldung@omega3check.com · Telefon: +43 676 5021823
Independent sales partner of Eqology AS — see the imprint.

2 · What data we process, and why

When you register we collect only your first and last name, your email address and the date you chose. We use them to process your registration, to send you the confirmation and the details, and to organise the evening.

Optionally, and only if you actively tick the box: your name and email address for occasional information about omega-3 and future dates. This consent is voluntary, separate from the registration and can be withdrawn at any time. Registration works just as well without it.

There is deliberately no free-text field. Through this form we do not ask for health data, symptoms or concerns — it cannot technically accept such data. What applies to the omega-3 test at the information evening is set out in section 9.

3 · Legal bases

Registration: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract).
Marketing emails: Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), in conjunction with section 174 of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021.
Server logs: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation).

4 · Where your data is kept

We have deliberately kept storage as minimal as possible:

  • Only checksums are stored on the server — of your email address and of your cancellation link, together with the chosen date, the status and the time. An address cannot be reconstructed from a checksum. These files lie outside the publicly accessible area.
  • Your name and email address in plain text appear only in the two emails: your confirmation and the notification to anmeldung@omega3check.com.

The website and the mailbox are operated by easyname GmbH (Vienna, Austria) as our processor. For the registration data collected on this website, no data is passed to third parties and none is transferred outside the EEA. If you order a product or an omega-3 concept at the information evening, the contract is concluded directly with Eqology.no AS (Oslo, Norway), which processes the necessary data as its own controller under its own privacy policy. The omega-6/omega-3 self-test is sold to you by the host, Stefan Tauber, in his own name — he, not Eqology, is your contracting party for the test. Norway is part of the EEA — the GDPR applies there directly.

5 · How long we keep data

DataPeriod
Registration data (name, email, date) 8 weeks after the event, then deleted
Name and email for marketing messages until you withdraw consent
Server logs kept by the host as specified by easyname GmbH, short-term

6 · No cookies, no tracking

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools and embeds no content from third-party servers — no fonts, no maps, no videos, no tracking pixels. When you open this page your IP address is sent to no one except our host. A cookie banner is therefore unnecessary: there is nothing to consent to.

7 · Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Article 7(3) GDPR) — an informal message to anmeldung@omega3check.com is enough.

If you believe we are not processing your data correctly, you may lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at).

8 · Voluntary nature

Providing your data is voluntary. Without your name, email address and a date we cannot process your registration. You suffer no disadvantage if you do not give marketing consent.

9 · The self-test on site

If you decide on the test during the evening, you give a blood sample. From it, the laboratory Vitas AS (Oslo, Norway) determines your omega-6/omega-3 value.

Nothing about this is collected through this website. Your contracting party for the test is the host, Stefan Tauber. The controller for the laboratory analysis and for providing your result is Eqology.no AS (Mustads vei 1A, 0283 Oslo, Norway); the analysis is carried out by the laboratory Vitas AS (Gaustadalléen 21, N-0349 Oslo). Only you and the certified staff of the Vitas laboratory have access to your result. You retrieve it at omegaratiotest.com using your test ID.

The host does not see your result, does not receive it and does not store it. If you choose to show or discuss it during the evening, that remains entirely your decision — nothing is noted down, photographed or added to any list.

Registering for the evening is independent of this and commits you to nothing. You can attend without taking the test.
